Samsung has just announced its new mobile phone designed for active social networking services users. Samsung Character (SCH-R640) is a touchphones equipped with sliding QWERTY keyboard. It is based on proprietary platform that includes TouchWiz Lite user interface. The device has 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240x320px resolution, 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, MicroSD external memory card slot. The battery of this phone provides about 5 hours of talk time or 288 hours of standby one. The device measures 106.7x55.4x14.7mm and weights 120g. The producer didn’t share the price of this device but it is clear that it will be affordable. 
Nokia has just published the first teaser video of this mobile device. Nokia N9 is a horizontal slider with full QWERTY keyboard. It runs on MeeGo operating system with a user interface that is very similar to Symbian OS’s one. Thus Nokia tries to unify all their smartphones` user interfaces. The video doesn’t unveil Nokia N9’s specifications. The only thing that it shows is 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/28 optics.
