Samsung has just announced its new mobile phone designed for active social networking services users. Samsung Character (SCH-R640) is a touchphones equipped with sliding QWERTY keyboard. It is based on proprietary platform that includes TouchWiz Lite user interface. The device has 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240x320px resolution, 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth, MicroSD external memory card slot. The battery of this phone provides about 5 hours of talk time or 288 hours of standby one. The device measures 106.7x55.4x14.7mm and weights 120g. The producer didn’t share the price of this device but it is clear that it will be affordable.

Samsung Ch@t 350

In February Samsung will launch its new mobile phone – Samsung Ch@t 350 (C3500). It is a horizontal slider with full QWERTY keyboard. It is equipped with 2.4-inch touchscreen with 240x320px resolution, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 2MP camera, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 8GB cards are supported). The device measures 100x52x16mm. The battery of this mobile phone provides about 12 hour of talk time.

Samsung Suede touchphone

This phone was announced together with new Samsung’s music service – Muve Music. Both the phone and new service have been already available for Cricket mobile operator’s customers. Muve Music provides an unlimited access to million music tracks for $55. This plan also includes unlimited calls, SMSs and internet access. Samsung Suede itself costs $199. It is quite usual present-day touchphone. Samsung Suede is equipped with 3-inch capacitive touchscreen, 3MP camera with autofocus, 135MB internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 16GB), Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphones jack.

Samsung Wave 575 Bada-smartphone

Korean Samsung has just announced its new device running on Bada operating system. It is Samsung S5750 Wave 575. Its list of specifications is very close to the Wave 525 phone’s one but in contrast to it this mobile phone supports third generation networks. Samsung Wave 575 has 3.2 inch display with 240x400px resolution, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3MP camera, 100Mb internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 16GB). Available colors will be black, white and pink. This phone will become available in November. No word about price.

The world's first LTE phone

Some mobile operators in US are almost ready to launch LTE networks. MetroPCS left behind its rivals –it has already launched its LTE network in Las Vegas and announced the world’s first LTE phone. Samsung SCH-R900 Craft is a sliding device with full QWERTY keyboard. It supports both LTE and older CDMA networks. As for other specification this mobile device is equipped with 3.3 inch AMOLED touch screen with 480x800px resolution, 3.2MP camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS module, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 32GB). The device comes with 2GB memory card that includes the latest Star Trek from Paramount Pictures. The price of Samsung SCH-R900 Craft is just $300 without any contract.

Coming Samsung GT-I5510 smartphone

Samsung GT-I5510 was shown at IFA 2010 exhibition. This device belongs to entry-level class smartphones. Nevertheless it has not bad set of functions. This coming mobile device is powered by Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and is equipped with 3 inch touch screen, 5MP camera with autofocus, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, MicroSD external memory card slot. Supported network standards are GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA. It is expected that Samsung GT-I5510 will be launched in next few months and will cost about EUR200.

Samsung Xcover E2370

Samsung has just announced its new budget class mobile phone. The main feature of Samsung Xcover E2370 is its battery life – it provide about 22 hour of talk time or 67 days of idle. In other respects it is typical entry level cell phone. The E2370 is equipped with TFT screen with 128x160px resolution, 0.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, 5 Mb internal storage, MicroSD external memory card slot (up to 2 GB). Samsung Xcover E2370 will be launched in Sweden for $96 in July. In other countries it will become available some weeks later.

South Korean Samsung company has just showed its new mobile phone. Samsung SCH-W980 is clamshell phone done in beautiful bright body. In addition to remarkable design this device has one more feature – TV tuner supporting both S-DMB and T-DMB standards. It is known that Samsung SCH-W890 supports 3G networks and is equipped with 2.8 inch TFT screen with 240x400 px resolution, 2 Mp camera, frontal 0.3 Mp camera for video calls, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, microSD memory card slot, and 1000 mAh battery. There is no word about release date and price.

LG GX500 Dual SIM touchphone

At last LG released its latest Dual SIM phone in Europe. LG GX500 is modified version of LG KS660. In contrast to original device this one has 3 Mp camera with 320x240 px video recording support instead of 5 Mp one with HD video recording support. There is also better battery that has 1500 mAh capacity. Other characteristics are 3 inch touch screen with 400x240 px resolution, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and microSD memory card slot (up to 4 Gb). Unfortunately no word about pricing.

Today at Mobile World Congress 2010 Samsung announced its new budget class touchphone designed for social networks addicts. Samsung Ch@t is also known as Samsung GT-B3410W. It is horizontal slider with full QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Ch@t supports GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks and is equipped with 2.6 inch touch screen with 240x320 px resolution, 2 Mp camera, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, FM radio, 1 or 2 Gb built-in storage, microSD card slot and 3.5 mm headphones jack. Unfortunately there is no information about release date and price.

Samsung M100S runs on Android 2.1

Today Samsung unveiled its first smartphone running on Android 2.1 operating system. Samsung M100S features 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen with 800x480 px (WVGA) resolution, 800 MHz CPU and 5 Mp camera with HD video recording support (720p). There are also Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi (802.11n), microSD memory card slot, T-DMB TV tuner, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS module. The operating system is added with TouchWiz user interface. Samsung M100S will become available in March.

Samsung pretends to be number one in the sphere of touch phones and is ready to announce its another device. According to unofficial sources Samsung F5650 belongs to middle devices class but has not bad set of technical specifications – 3 inch touch screen with 400x240 px resolution, 5 Mp camera with autofocus, 50 Mb built-in memory, microSDHC card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, Wi-Fi and FM radio. There is also 3.5 mm audio jack and USB 2.0. The battery provides up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. Samsung F5650 measures 107.5 x 52 x 12.9 mm and weights 110 g. It is expected that this phone will be officially released in next few weeks and will cost about $215.

Samsung Intensity cheap QWERTY phone

Together with U960 Rogue Samsung is ready to announce another mobile phone – Samsung Intensity. This mobile phone features both QWERTY and usual keyboard. In contrast to U960 this phone has 2.1 inch screen, 1.3 Mp camera, Bluetooth 2,0 with A2DP and microSD memory card slot. The dimensions are 108x53x17 mm. The weight is 140 g. The price of Samsung Intensity is $30 with two year contract.

South Korean Samsung company continues to produce mobile device with remarkable design. One of such experiments is Samsung B3310. It is side sliding QWERTY phone. But its main feature is vertical numbers on the side. U.S. Cellular operator positions it as budget mobile phone for chatting and social networks lovers.
