Land Rover S1 rugged mobile phone was introduced on Mobile World Congress 2009 by Land Rover and Sonim companies. This mobile device features 2 Mp camera, A-GPS navigation support and Opera-mini web browser. The producers provide 3 year guarantee and will give another device in case of breakage. It is water, dust, salt and shock resistant. The ultrastrong case is made of special XENOY plastic which is produced of used plastic bottles. The release will take place this year. NS2 Japanese phone

South Korean Pantech company together with Japanese KDDI mobile operator introduced NS02 mobile phone. This clamshell device begins to middle class and supports CDMA 1X WIN networks. There is 2.7 inch screen with 240x320 px resolution, 2 Mp camera, 100 Mb memory, microSD memory card slot and built in battery which provides 3.5 hour of talk mode. Availbale colors are white, black and yellow.

Acer M900 QWERTY communicator

Acer introduced some new communicators on MWC 2009. One of them is M900. It is horizontal sliding phone with QWERTY keyboard. As other Acer’s devices this communicator runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. There is also Outlook and Office Mobile pre-installed applications. The screen of the M900 is very impressive – it has 3.8 inch diagonal. As for rest this phone has GPS module, 5 Mp camera, FM radio, microSD memory card slot and HSDPA technology support. In addition Acer M900 features finger scanner. Thus user’s private data will be secure.

Gigabyte GSmart S1200 communicator

Gigabyte company also takes part in Mobile World Congress 2009 and has just announced GSmart S1200 communicator. It has classic shape and satisfies “e2” design standards. Its thickness is only 11.4 mm but it has all functions that present-day mobile device needs – Qualcomm 528 MHz CPU, 3.1 inch touch screen with 480x800 px resolution, 3 Mp camera with flash, 0.3 Mp frontal camera, 128 Mb RAM, 256 Mb ROM, microSD memory card support, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS and 1010 mAh battery. The operating system of this device is Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. To improve control the producer installed Smart Zone user interface.

LG GM730 thin communicator

So MWC 2009 started and LG announced its new GM730 communicator which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and has S-Class UI 3D user interface. This device supports 3G networks (900/2100 MHz), HSDPA (7.2 Mbit/s) and HSUP (2 Mbit/s). In addition it has SNS service support which gives an opportunity to track your location and location of our friends and colleagues. The thickness of LG GM730 is only 11.9 mm. It has 3 inch touch screen with WQVGA resolution, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and 5 Mp camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lenses. The list of pre-installed applications includes Internet Explorer Mobile 6.0. Acer DX650 dual SIM communicator

It is said that Acer will introduce its first three phones on Mobile World Congress 2009. One of them is Acer DX650 communicator which runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. The main feature of this device is its “duplicity”. It has no back side)) One of them is covered with 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen. The other side has 1.27 inch one-color OLED screen with 128x96 px resolution and digital keyboard. Also this phone has GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microSD card slot, miniUSB interface and HSDPA support. Another remarkable feature is Dual SIM card mode support.

Sony Ericsson C903

This new Cyber-Shot series phone by Sony Ericsson features 5 Mp camera with 16x digital zoom, autofocus, face detection, Smile Shutter and geotagging functions support. According to Daniel Sandblom who is product global marketing manager of Sony Ericsson this sliding phone will bring style and creativity to middle class of devices. The list of other characteristics also includes 2.4 inch screen with 320x240 px resolution, 105 Mb memory, M2 memory card slot, TV out, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and FM radio with RDS. The release of Sony Ericsson C903 will take place in the second quarter. Available colors will be Lacquer Black, Techno White and Glamour Red.
